The brand new Reactor 212-50 is an Atomic Amp for the touring pro! It turns any digital amp modeler or preamp into an incredibly versatile performance rig. The amp features 50 watts of all tube power for clean headroom galore and two custom-designed 12" Atomic G12 MegaTön speakers rated for up to 200w. At roughly two-thirds the size of a traditional 4x12 cabinet the Reactor 212-50 produces enough slam to accommodate players with extreme volume and power needs yet still sounds great at bedroom levels. Like the groundbreaking Reactor 112-18, the Reactor 212-50 utilizes Atomic's unique docking system that allows players to dock and power their desktop amp modelers inside their Reactor - creating an all in one performance solution*. The closed back, tuned and ported speaker system provides a linear response and extended bottom end capabilities.
The Reactor 212-50 sports some features not found in the original Reactor 112-18 such as a master volume control, extension cabinet output, stereo/mono switch (to control the effects loop output – note: the amps are mono), and a standby mode. The cabinets have a flat top for easy stacking, 2 pro-quality steel handles and touring grade rugged vinyl covering compliment the amp.
All Reactor Series amps can easily be daisy-chained together to be used in stereo pairs or to increase power.
Engineered by amp legend Harry Kolbe, the Reactor 212-50 brings life to digital modelers and may raise the dead.
