Atomic Amplifiers’ Reactor Series is a unique family of tube amplifiers specifically designed by the legendary amp guru, Harry Kolbe, to bring to life the tone created by modeling tools, with all of the organic warmth and power our ears love to hear. Atomic currently offers three types of Reactors to accommodate a player’s specific power needs - they are the: AR112-18, AR112-50 and AR212-50. Reactor Series amps allow guitarists to generate the versatile, authentic sounds from dozens of different tube amps and effects and take them live to every gig, rehearsal and jam session. All you need is a Reactor and your amp modeler, which conveniently mounts right into the amp.

The advantages of using digital modelers are apparent but even more so for the live player. There's an endless universe of distinctive guitar tones out there, yet to own a large assortment of classic gear, keep the equipment in top shape, and transport it all from gig to gig is unrealistic for most musicians. Digital amp modeling technology has brought the most coveted tones into headphones and studios everywhere. But try to take that sound live and the results are compromised...
·If you plug a modeler into a traditional tube amp, the amp can't help but color the tone - the modeler is treated as just another effect in the chain.
·Solid-state amplification is, well, solid-state - tight, compressed and sterile.
·Going direct into a PA system just doesn't cut it - especially for players who rely on the responsiveness of their amps.
Atomic’s Reactor Series eliminates all these problems!

The Dock (DS-1 or DS-2) allows Atomic Reactor Series amplifiers to act as a platform for select digital amp modelers. When using a modeler installed in the Dock, all of the signal input and output as well as the power supply connections are made. No wall wart or external power is required! The Reactor automatically selects and sends the correct power / voltage to the modeler loaded into the Dock. Installation and de-installation requires no tools. The Dock is then loaded into a Reactor Series amp.
(Included as standard equipment on Reactor Series amps)

Template Kits are designed to adapt most popular desktop modelers into the Atomic Dock. A Template Kit consist of a pre-fitted, injection molded frame, the appropriate mounting hardware to hold the modeler securely in place in the Dock and the a power connecting cable for to allow the modeler to be powered by the Reactor Series’ high quality power supply. No wall-wart needed!
Currently, Template Kits are available for the following modelers: Line 6 POD, Line 6 PODxt, Vox ToneLab and Behringer V-Amp. Atomic also offers a Blank Template Kit for users of floorboard and rack based processors - also for modelers or preamps (digital or analog) that don’t have a specific Template Kit. The Blank Template Kit covers and protects the Dock, its connector and related electronics.
Additional Template Kits are planned for the future.
(Template Kit of the users choice is included with all Reactor Series amps)
